Hydrating Tropical Smoothie

I've said it before! Smoothies are an amazing on-the-go meal/snack option not to mention they are way less taxing on the digestive system & you can really pack a ton of nutritional punch into one glass.

They are a great option for kids (you can easily hide greens behind the sweetness of the fruit).

What I like about this smoothie is the ultra hydrating coconut water - it's high in electrolytes and makes it really refreshing. You can easily make this smoothie with just the coconut water or just the coconut milk if you don't have both on hand.

Ingredients: 

1 Banana

2 Cups Coconut milk

1 Cup Coconut Water

A huge handful or two of mixed greens (I used spinach, swiss chard & baby kale)

1/2 Cup pineapple chunks

1/4 Cup frozen blueberries

2tbsp flaxseed oil

small handful of raw almonds

Blend all ingredients, pour into glass mason jars, top w/ natural coconut and enjoy!
