I don't know about you but I have no clue where the month went! Is it just me or did April fly by? We're approaching the end of the month and that means it's time for my April Love List:)
Pin me 👆🏽to save me for later!
Here are some of the products and/or things I'm loving this month! Enjoy:)
Yoso Cultured Coconut Yogurt. If you've been following me for a while, you've definitely heard me mention Yoso's coconut yogurt. It's non-dairy which is fantastic for anyone who has a dairy sensitivity, is vegan or is simply looking to reduce their dairy intake. I prefer to buy their unsweetened yogurt and sweeten it myself with maple syrup, raw honey or a bit of coconut sugar. It's perfect at breakfast or as a snack throughout the day. I like pairing it with homemade granola and some fruit or I add it to my smoothie or simply eat it on its own with fresh fruit, raw nuts and seeds and a bit of maple syrup or raw honey. SOOO good! It's also great for making dips such as a non-dairy tzatziki.
Bite Beauty Lipsticks. I'm all about clean skin care products and that includes my makeup. I really try to do my very best where my makeup is concerned but sometimes I find it difficult to find a product that is absolutely clean and is still effective. Enter Bite Beauty! Although this brand is not 100% natural, it's as close to it while still being long-lasting. It goes on like butter - really moisturizing for your lips. The colours are sensational - vibrant and fun. Fun fact: they're local! Bite Beauty is based out of Toronto, how great is that? Bite Beauty products contain ingredients such as manuka honey (healing, antibacterial), jojoba seed oil (hydration), shea butter (soft lips) and pomegranate (antioxidants). Although this brand is not 100% pure and natural (they do contain food grade synthetic dyes) they are quite low on the toxicity scale. Bite Beauty is made without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMO's and triclosan. Lipstick is not something I wear every single day but when I do, I'm wearing Bite Beauty. You can find the product at Sephora stores and online.
The Desire Map. This month I have been working my way through the incredible Danielle LaPorte's The Desire Map: a guide to creating goals with soul. I've always been one to create vision boards, lists upon lists of goals and things to do. So this book obviously intrigued me right from the start. This is not your typical goal-setting book. It's redefining the way you create goals for yourself. I highly recommend getting your hands on it.
Long Island Medium. Don't judge me! It is MY love list after all. I only just discovered this show and I'm obsessed! It's my new guilty pleasure. I laugh and cry all in the same episode. Watching it not only reinforces those things I'm most grateful for in life but reminds me that life is precious. This is my feel-good show! I'm already thinking of ways to get myself to Long Island for a reading with Theresa. This show is a great reminder that our loved ones (including pets) are always with us. I take great comfort in knowing and believing that.
Food Land Mount Albert. For those of you living in the area, this is a fantastic store carrying tons of great health products. Most of you don't know this but you can find tons of awesome speciality items there. For instance, it's my go to when I'm out of tempeh, Yoso coconut yogurt, aloe (they have giant aloe leaves there), Maria's gluten-free homestyle noodles. They also carry organic chicken and beef, hemp and chia seeds, manna, stone mill and Ezekiel breads, nut milks, Amy's products, Green Beaver and other awesome natural skin care products. I definitely suggest checking it out!
MacWilliams Farm. It's important to support your local farmers! Again, for those in the area check out MacWilliams Farm. I get asked all the time where I get farm fresh eggs - this is where! MacWilliams has all organic produce, no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. They also have local unpasteurized honey and maple syrup. For more information, check out their website.
